Pear Wood & Epoxy Resin Dragonfly Paperweight

A unique handcrafted paperweight combining the warmth and natural character of pear wood with the clarity of crystal-clear epoxy resin. At its centre, a delicate dragonfly is preserved within the resin (the dragonfly was found as a hollow husk, so no insect was harmed). The dragonfly appears landed on a twig above a river. The natural wood and resin meet in an organic composition, while the faceted, hand-shaped surface gives the piece the character of a small sculptural object rather than a purely functional desk accessory. The rich tones and grain of pear wood contrast with the translucent resin, while the embedded dragonfly creates a focal point that changes subtly with the light and viewing angle.
